Jermaine Hue
Jermaine "Jerry" Hue (born 15 June 1978 in Morant Bay, St Thomas, Jamaica) is a retired professional football midfielder who formerly played for Harbour View and the Jamaica national football team. Club career Hue started his playing career for Jamaica National Premier League Harbour View, with whom he won the 2004–2005 National Premier League Championship. He joined Harbour View's U-14 in 1993, before making his first team debut in 1998. He was also the 1999–2000 Premier League MVP. Jermaine also played for Mandela United of the B.I.S.L. (New York a league from which came Stern John and others who went on to play Major league soccer) where he was spotted by major league scouts. Next up was a move to the Kansas City Wizards of the American Major League Soccer in September 2005, where he spent one season before moving onto Mjällby of Sweden in 2006. Morant Bay
Morant Bay is a town in southeastern Jamaica and the capital of the parish of St. Thomas, located about 25 miles east of Kingston, the capital. The parish has a population of 94,410. During the nineteenth century, the parish was an area of sugar cane plantations, with a majority of black enslave descendant after the abolition of slavery. The Morant Bay Rebellion started on October 11, 1865, with a march by hundreds of people from the parish to the court house to protest poor conditions in the parish. Caribbean Cup
The Caribbean Cup was the championship tournament for national association football teams that are members of the Caribbean Football Union. The first competition, established by Shell and run by former England Cricket fast bowler Fred Rumsey, was contested in 1989 in Barbados. The Caribbean Cup served as a qualification tournament among CFU members for the CONCACAF Gold Cup. The Caribbean Cup replaced the CFU Championship competition which was active between 1978 and 1988. Trinidad and Tobago, eight-time winners, and Jamaica, six-time winners, were the most successful sides, winning a combined 14 of 18 titles. Martinique, Haiti, Cuba and Curaçao also won the tournament. The Caribbean Club Championship, also known as the CFU Club Championship or CFU Club Champions' Cup, was an annual international football competition held amongst association football clubs that are members of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU).
