Jermaine Brooks
Tommy Jermaine Brooks (born April 11, 1979) is a former American football defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys. He also was a member of the Dallas Desperados in the Arena Football League (AFL). He played college football at the University of Arkansas. Early years Brooks attended Rancho Cucamonga, where he played as a running back, before developing into a defensive tackle. As a senior, he recorded 80 tackles and 10 sacks. He received Parade All-American, All-state, All-conference and All-district honors. He finished his high school career with 350 tackles and 30 sacks. He accepted a football scholarship from the University of Arkansas. As a true freshman, he tallied 6 tackles and one sack in 3 games, before suffering a season ending left knee injury. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. Injured Reserve List
The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB). The National Basketball Association (NBA) does not have a direct analog to an injured reserve list, instead using a more general-purpose "inactive list" that does not require a player to be injured. Injured reserve lists are used because the rules of these leagues allow for only a certain numbers of players on each team's roster. The 2007 Arena Football League season was the 21st season of the Arena Football League. The regular season began play on March 1, 2007 and concluded on June 25. The league broke its regular-season total attendance record of 1,887,054. Kacy Rodgers
Kacy Rodgers (born June 24, 1969) is an American football coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Tennessee and was a part of the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad in the NFL in 1992. Since then, Rodgers has served as an assistant coach at the college and professional levels.
