Jeric T
Jeric T (; born 14 March 1984), better known by his stage name 陳傑瑞 Jeric, is a Singaporean singer-songwriter and record producer. He founded and created the gaming platforms Zion, ZincPlay and DotaPod Jeric is from a family of Chinese opera singers/actors and has been in touch with music from a young age. He was discovered by renowned singer-songwriter, Shaun Yu (永邦), in 2001, in a chanced meeting. After a few months of stint at record studios and production houses, Jeric decided to give up his studies, despite exceptional grades and standing (Dean's List Candidate, 8th in the School of InfoComm Technology, Ngee Ann Polytechnic), to pursue a musical career. During this time, he became pals with Gary Chaw (Chinese:曹格), and even wrote for him. Alternative Hip Hop
Alternative hip hop (also known as alternative rap) is a subgenre of hip hop music that encompasses a wide range of styles that are not typically identified as mainstream. AllMusic defines it as comprising " hip hop groups that refuse to conform to any of the traditional stereotypes of rap, such as gangsta, bass, hardcore, and party rap. Instead, they blur genres drawing equally from funk and pop/rock, as well as jazz, soul, reggae, and even folk." Alternative hip hop developed in the late 1980s and experienced a degree of mainstream recognition during the early-to-mid 1990s. While some groups such as Arrested Development and The Fugees managed to achieve commercial success before breaking up, many alternative rap acts tend to be embraced by alternative rock listeners other than hip-hop or pop audiences. Kelly Poon (; born 11 July 1983) is a Singaporean singer who emerged from one of the Project SuperStar singing competition held in Singapore. Early life Kelly Poon graduated from Huamin Primary School and Yishun Town Secondary School. She later graduated from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Maritime Transport Management in 2004. After graduation in 2004, she became an air stewardess with Singapore Airlines. Entertainment career (2005–present) Kelly Poon auditioned for Project SuperStar in April 2005 and was eliminated in the fourth quarter-final, but was back on stage following sufficient public votes in the revival round.
