Jeremy Toljan
Jeremy Isaiah Richard Toljan (; born 8 August 1994) is a German professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Serie A club Sassuolo. Club career On 5 October 2013, Toljan made his debut for 1899 Hoffenheim in a Bundesliga game against 1. FSV Mainz 05. He played the full game, which ended in a 2–2 draw. In the summer of 2017 Toljan signed a five-year deal with Borussia Dortmund. In January 2019, Toljan signed a six-month loan deal with Celtic. In July 2019, Sassuolo announced the signing of Toljan on two seasons-long loan deal. On 1 July 2021, Toljan moved to Sassuolo on a permanent transfer. International career Toljan has played for German national teams at various age levels. He is also eligible to play for both the United States and Croatia and has rejected approaches from both teams to continue playing for Germany. Germany National Under-21 Football Team
The Germany national under-21 football team represents the under-21s of Germany in the UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship and is controlled by the German Football Association (DFB), the governing body of football in Germany. Before the reunification of Germany, East Germany and West Germany played as separate entities — the two teams played separately until summer 1990. Following the realignment of UEFA's youth competitions in 1976, international under-21 football in Europe began. A West German team, however, did not compete in the U-21 European Championship until the qualifying round (beginning in 1980) of the 1982 competition. The Regionalliga Südwest ( en, Regional League Southwest) is the fourth tier of the German football league system in the states of Hesse, Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. The 2012–13 Regionalliga was the fifth season of the Regionalliga as the fourth tier of the German football league system. From this season onwards, the structure of this tier has changed. The three division format administrated by the German FA has been replaced by five leagues, each of which is administrated by its respective regional FA.
