Jeremy Slate
Jeremy Slate (born Robert Bullard Perham; February 17, 1926 – November 19, 2006) was an American film and television actor, and songwriter. He is best known for Larry Lahr in ''The Aquanauts'' (1960–1961), Chuck Wilson in '' One Life to Live'' (1979–1987) and as Deputy Sheriff Ben Latta in ''The Sons of Katie Elder'' (1965). Early life He attended a military academy and joined the United States Navy when he was sixteen. He was barely eighteen when his destroyer assisted in the Normandy Invasion on D-Day (June 6, 1944). After the war he attended St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, where he graduated with honors in English. He was also president of the student body, a member of the honor society, editor of the college literary magazine, a football player, and the backfield coach of the only undefeated team in the history of the university. ''The Rainmaker'' is a play written by N. Richard Nash in the early 1950s. The play opened on October 28, 1954, at the Cort Theatre in New York City, and ran for 125 performances. It was directed by Joseph Anthony and produced by ''Ethel Linder Reiner''. Grant Sullivan (born Jerry Schulz, June 30, 1924 – May 31, 2011) was an American actor who starred as investigator Brett Clark in the television series, ''Pony Express'', which aired in syndication from 1959 to 1960. He starred with Don Dorrell. Early years The Fremont, Nebraska-born Jerry Schulz was reared in Southern California. As a student at Anaheim Union High School, he excelled in sports and on stage. Sullivan was a meteorologist in the United States Navy during World War II. He changed his name to Grant Sullivan and appeared on Broadway in ''Auntie Mame'' (1956) before he moved to television roles. The Aquanauts (TV Series)
''The Aquanauts'' (later known as ''Malibu Run'') is an American adventure/drama series that aired on CBS in the 1960–1961 season. The series stars Keith Larsen, Jeremy Slate and Ron Ely, who later replaced Larsen on midseason. Synopsis The hour-long series focuses on the adventures of two Southern California divers, Drake Andrews (Larsen) and Larry Lahr (Slate), who made their living salvaging sunken wrecks. In January 1961, Larsen left the series due to health problems. His character rejoined the Navy and a new character, Mike Madison (Ron Ely), joined the cast. A month later, the format of the series was also changed with the show's characters, Larry and Mike, opening up a shop in Malibu.
