Jeremy Bleich
Jeremy Bleich (pronounced BLYSH; born June 18, 1987) is an American-Israeli former professional baseball pitcher who currently works as an advance scout and analyst for the Pittsburgh Pirates and pitches for Team Israel. He previously played for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB). In high school, Bleich was named a 2005 first-team All-American by ''Collegiate Baseball'' (Louisville Slugger), a third-team All American by ''Baseball America'', and was twice named All-State in Louisiana. He was profiled by author Michael Lewis in his short book ''Coach: Lessons on the Game of Life'', published in 2005. He was named a Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star in 2006. Pitcher
In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. In the numbering system used to record defensive plays, the pitcher is assigned the number 1. The pitcher is often considered the most important player on the defensive side of the game, and as such is situated at the right end of the defensive spectrum. The 2019 European Baseball Championship was an international baseball tournament organized by the Confederation of European Baseball. Qualifier 4 of the Qualifying Round of the 2017 World Baseball Classic was held at MCU Park, Brooklyn, New York, United States from September 22 to 25, 2016. Glenoid Labrum
The glenoid labrum (glenoid ligament) is a fibrocartilaginous structure (not a fibrocartilage as previously thought) rim attached around the margin of the glenoid cavity in the shoulder blade. The shoulder joint is considered a ball and socket joint. However, in bony terms the 'socket' (the glenoid fossa of the scapula) is quite shallow and small, covering at most only a third of the 'ball' (the head of the humerus). The socket is deepened by the glenoid labrum, stabilizing the shoulder joint. The labrum is triangular in section; the base is fixed to the circumference of the cavity, while the free edge is thin and sharp. It is continuous above with the tendon of the long head of the biceps brachii, which gives off two fascicles to blend with the fibrous tissue of the labrum.
