Jeremiah Krage
Jeremiah Krage is a British actor who appears in television, including the 2015 reboot of ''Teletubbies'' as Tinky Winky. Career Among his many credits he appeared in the eighth series '' Doctor Who'' as a Cyberman, portrayed Zak in ''ZingZillas'', and in 2015, Krage was chosen to portray Tinky Winky the purple Teletubby in the new series of ''Teletubbies''. He is the third actor, after Dave Thompson and Simon Shelton, to play the character. He will later reprise the role as Tinky Winky in the upcoming Netflix reboot series. Teletubbies
''Teletubbies'' is a British children's television series created by Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport for the BBC. The programme focuses on four differently coloured characters known as the Teletubbies, named after the television screens on their bellies. Recognised throughout popular culture for the uniquely shaped antenna protruding from the head of each character, the Teletubbies communicate through gibberish and were designed to bear resemblance to toddlers. Cyberman
The Cybermen are a fictional race of cyborgs principally portrayed in the British science fiction television programme '' Doctor Who''. The Cybermen are a species of space-faring cyborgs who often forcefully and painfully convert human beings (or other similar species) into more Cybermen in order to populate their ranks while also removing their emotions and personalities. They were conceived by writer Kit Pedler (who was also the unofficial scientific advisor to the series) and story editor Gerry Davis, and first appeared in the 1966 ''Doctor Who'' serial ''The Tenth Planet''. ZingZillas
''ZingZillas'' is a British television programme aimed at young children, broadcast on the BBC pre-school channel CBeebies, which ran from 5 April 2010 to 11 June 2012. Overview ZingZillas is a music show aimed at children ages six and under. It is set on a monkey-shaped tropical island where everyone joins in to create music magic. They use musical influences from all over the globe from rock to soul, jazz to samba, big band to orchestra. A yellow submarine is sometimes seen in the sea near the island. One episode contains what appears to be a view from the submarine through its periscope. Dave Thompson (comedian)
Dave Thompson (born 30 June 1959) is an English actor, stand-up comedian and writer, who made headlines in July 1997 after being removed from the role of Tinky Winky in the children's television series, ''Teletubbies'' after 70 episodes. The BBC said in a letter to Thompson that his "interpretation of the role was not acceptable". Thompson recounted bursting into tears upon learning the news of his termination. In interviews, he supposed that the dubbing of his voice, unlike the other actors, was an indication of dissatisfaction over his performance. Thompson later appeared in the 2000 Ben Elton film ''Maybe Baby'' as Dave the Comedian/Mrs. Furblob. He also appeared in Harry Hill's live tour ''Hooves'' as the minor characters of the Horse, the ballboy and the Greek man who grabs Harry's neck. Simon Shelton (13 January 1966 – 17 January 2018), also known as Simon Barnes, was an English actor. Early life Shelton was born in the Bethnal Green area of London on 13 January 1966. Career Shelton was best known for his children's television work, most notably as Dark Knight on '' Incredible Games'' from 1994 to 1995 and Tinky-Winky on ''Teletubbies'' from 1997 to 2001. Personal life Shelton was married to Emma Robbins. They had three children and lived in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. Shelton's niece is actress Emily Atack. Death Shelton had a history of alcoholism.
