Jens Gaiser
Jens Gaiser (born August 15, 1978 in Baiersbronn) is a German nordic combined skier who has competed since 1998. He won a silver medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin in the 4 x 5 km team event. Gaiser also finished 19th in the 7.5 km sprint event at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Gaiser's best finish at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships was 31st in the 7.5 km sprint event at Ramsau in 1999. Nordic combined is a winter sport in which athletes compete in cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The Nordic combined at the Winter Olympics has been held since the first ever 1924 Winter Olympics, Winter Olympics in 1924, while the FIS Nordic Combined World Cup has been held since 1983. FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1999
The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1999 took place February 19–28, 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein, Austria. The large hill ski jumping events took place at the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze in Bischofshofen. The 7.5 km Nordic combined sprint event debuted at these championships.
