Jennifer Wilson (actress)
Jennifer Wenda Wilson (25 April 1932 – 29 March 2022) was an English actress. Beginning her on-screen acting career in the 1950s, she played Kate Nickleby in a BBC dramatisation of ''Nicholas Nickleby'' in 1957. Wilson's last acting roles were as Mrs. Bradbury in ''Coronation Street'' in 2014 and as Nancy Milne in three episodes of the BBC lunchtime soap ''Doctors'' between 2014 and 2015. Life and career Wilson began her film career in ''The Story of Gilbert and Sullivan'' (1953), while still at RADA, from which she graduated in 1952. One of her earliest television roles was Kate Nickleby in the 1957 BBC Television adaptation of ''Nicholas Nickleby''. She played Detective Sergeant Helen Webb in the first series of ITV's ''Special Branch'' (1969) and, in probably her best known role, Jennifer Hammond in the 1970s series '' The Brothers''. Jennifer "Jen" Wilson (born 27 March 1979) is the head coach for Scotland. She is a former South Africa international field hockey player. She was appointed Head Coach for Scotland on a 3 year contract, starting on 1 August 2018. Playing career Wilson competed for South Africa at three Olympic Games: the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. She also competed at three Hockey World Cups and three Commonwealth Games. Coaching career In 2015 to 2017 she was assistant coach for Scotland. Jennifer Wilson (born 1966, Fairfax, Virginia, USA) is an American soprano known especially for her Wagnerian opera roles. She is the daughter of Newton Wilson (son of the late Frontier Airlines co-founder Raymond Wilson) and Katherine Still. The daughter, granddaughter and niece of professional singers, instrumentalists and music educators, Wilson grew up steeped in music from opera and oratorio to rock 'n' roll and bluegrass. She began tap dance lessons at age 3, ballet at 8, piano at 10, and solo classical singing at 12. Wilson attended Cornell University for several years, eventually departing on a leave of absence which she filled with advanced training in acting, languages, and vocal studies with former Metropolitan Opera coloratura soprano Marilyn Cotlow. Jenny Wilson (born November 1, 1965) is an American politician currently serving as the Mayor of Salt Lake County, Utah. In September 2007, she was a primary candidate for mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2016, she was Utah's national committeewoman for the Democratic Party. She is a daughter of Ted Wilson, a former mayor of Salt Lake City. Wilson was the Democratic nominee in the 2018 Utah Senate race, running against Republican nominee Mitt Romney. After her election defeat, she was appointed to replace Ben McAdams as Salt Lake County Mayor, taking the oath of office in January 2019. Jenny Wilson (born 20 October 1975) is a Swedish singer-songwriter. Her music has a distinct electro-influenced style. Wilson founded the band First Floor Power in 1997 and released two albums, ''There Is Hope'' and ''Nerves'', before leaving the band to go solo around 2004. She also studied graphic design at Konstfack for one year.
