The 2021–22 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup was the 43rd World Cup season in ski jumping for men, the 25th official World Cup season in ski flying, and the 11th World Cup season for women. The men's season started in November in Nizhny Tagil, Russia and concluded in March in Planica, Slovenia. The women's season started in December in Lillehammer, Norway and was expected to conclude in March in Chaykovsky, Russia. Because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the women’s season concluded in Oberhof, Germany. Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud and Slovenian Nika Križnar were the defending overall champions from the 2020–21 season. The 43rd FIS Nordic World Ski Championships will be held from 21 February to 5 March 2023 in Planica, Slovenia. It will be the first time that the country will host the World Championships. Championships Slovenia will host the Nordic World Championships for the first time. All competitions will take place at the Planica Nordic Centre, located in the Planica monument valley. Host selection The World Championships were awarded at the 51st FIS Congress, held between 13 and 19 May 2018 in Costa Navarino, Greece. The FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup is a series of ski jumping competitions arranged yearly by the International Ski Federation. It is considered the second level of international ski jumping, ranking below the World Cup and not counting Grand Prix which world top class summer competition. Athletes competing in the Continental Cup are usually juniors and jumpers fighting for a spot on their nation's World Cup team.
