Jenny (The Click Five Song)
"Jenny" is a song by American power pop band The Click Five. It was released in August 2007 as the first single from their second studio album ''Modern Minds and Pastimes''. The song was written by Ben Romans with Jez Ashurst of UK band Farrah and Chris Braide. The original demo was sung by Chris Braide. Background In an interview with Songfacts, Romans stated about the origin of the song's title: "'Jenny' is just a name. A name that scans well in songs," adding: "A lot of people are like, 'Okay, who's Jenny?' It's more a representation of anyone being fickle." There have been several rumors suggesting that the song is referencing a possible friendship between the band and South Korean singer Park Bom whose English name is Jenny due to them both attending the Berklee College of Music together. The Click Five
The Click Five (often abbreviated as TC5) was an American rock band from Boston, Massachusetts. The original members, most of them students at Berklee College of Music, started on January 1, 2004, and played in various local venues. They then quickly got the attention of talent scout Wayne Sharp (who had worked with the power pop group Candy). The Click Five made their first recording, a two-song demo session, in early 2004 after successful local touring. They released their debut album ''Greetings from Imrie House'' in 2005. After vocalist Eric Dill left the group, he was replaced by Kyle Patrick who debuted on their second album '' Modern Minds and Pastimes'' in 2007. Kyle Patrick Dickherber (born May 20, 1986) is an American singer, songwriter and producer. He has earned multiple gold records as an artist, and over 100 million streams as a producer & songwriter. Park Bom (born March 24, 1984), previously known mononymously as Bom, is a South Korean singer. She is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group 2NE1.
