A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. Jennifer Pham (born on 3 July 1985, real name in Vietnamese: Phạm Vũ Phượng Hoàng) achieved fame by winning many beauty pageant titles. She was crowned Miss Vietnam USA runner-up 2004, Vietnamese American Top Model 2005, Miss Vietnam Southern California 2006 and Miss Asia USA 2006. She has been involved in numerous philanthropy works throughout the US and Asian countries.
