Jemimah Rodrigues
Jemimah Jessica Rodrigues ( ; born 5 September 2000) is an Indian cricketer. She is an allrounder who plays for the Indian national women's cricket team and Mumbai women's cricket team. In addition, she also played for the Under-17 Maharashtra hockey team. In June 2018, she was awarded with the Jagmohan Dalmiya Award presented by cricketer MS Dhoni for Best Domestic Junior Women's Cricketer by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at Jharkhand. Early life Jemimah Rodrigues was born and brought-up in Bhandup, Mumbai, India along with her two brothers, Enoch and Eli. She is a practising Christian. 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup
The 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup was the seventh ICC Women's T20 World Cup tournament. It was held in Australia between 21 February and 8 March 2020. The final took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on International Women's Day. Hosts Australia won the tournament, beating India by 85 runs, to win their fifth title. It was a standalone tournament, the men's tournament was initially held eight months ahead of the schedule, but would be postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Australia were the defending champions, and lost their opening match of the tournament against India. Cricket At The Commonwealth Games
Cricket is an optional sport at the quadrennial Commonwealth Games. It first appeared at the 1998 Games, with a men's tournament seeing South Africa defeat Australia by 4 wickets in the final. Matches were played over 50 overs and had List A status rather than being full One Day Internationals. The sport returned to the Games' programme at the 2022 Games, with a women's tournament taking place. Matches were played under the Twenty20 format, with the tournament won by Australia. A woman's Twenty20 tournament is planned to be part of the 2026 Games. Women's One Day International Cricket
Women's One Day International (WODI) is the limited overs form of women's cricket. Matches are scheduled for 50 overs, equivalent to the men's game. The first women's ODIs were played in 1973, as part of the first Women's World Cup which was held in England. The first ODI saw the hosts beat an International XI. The 1,000th women's ODI took place between South Africa and New Zealand on 13 October 2016. WODI status is determined by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and was restricted to full members of the ICC. In May 2022, the ICC awarded WODI status to five more teams. Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) is the shortest form of women's international cricket. A women's Twenty20 International is a 20 overs-per-side cricket match between two of the International Cricket Council (ICC) members. The first Twenty20 International match was held in August 2004 between England and New Zealand, six months before the first Twenty20 International match was played between two men's teams.
