Jelka Van Houten
Jelline Floriska van Houten (; born 1 September 1978) is a Dutch actress. She has acted in Dutch films, musicals, and television series. She also played Sabine in the British TV series '' Fresh Meat''. She won the John Kraaijkamp Musical Award twice, in 2006 for her role in the musical ''Turks fruit'' and in 2010 for her role in the musical ''Dromen... zijn bedrog''. Early life and education Jelline Floriska van Houten was born on 1 September 1978 in Culemborg in the Netherlands, the daughter of Margje Stasse and the writer and broadcaster Theodore van Houten. She is the younger sister of actress Carice van Houten. She later studied production design at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy in Amsterdam. Acting career While studying at the Film and Television Academy, Van Houten made her film debut as an obsessed killer in ''Liefje'' (2001). She was nominated for a Gouden Notekraker. Culemborg
Culemborg () is a municipality and a city in the centre of the Netherlands. The city had a population of 29,386 on 1 January 2022 and is situated just south of the Lek river. Direct train lines run from the railway station towards the cities of Utrecht and Den Bosch. History Culemborg, formerly also spelled Kuilenburg or Kuylenburgh, received city rights in 1318. For a long time, Culemborg was independent from any counties or duchies in the Netherlands. The city had gained the right of toll collection and the right of asylum: it was a so-called '''Vrijstad''' ( free city). In practice, this meant that people who had fled to Culemborg from other cities (for example due to bankruptcy) could evade their creditors in Culemborg. ''Amsterdam Vice'' ( nl, Baantjer: Het Begin – English: ''Baantjer: The Beginning'') is a 2019 Dutch film and accompanying series directed by Arne Toonen. The film and eponymous television series is based on the novels of A. C. Baantjer and a prequel to the television series '' Baantjer'', based on the same novels. The Videoland version of the film was edited as a double episode (episodes 1 and 2 of the series). However, a number of scenes are missing in this version. The film won the Golden Film award two weeks later after having sold 100,000 tickets. Kurt Loyens also won the Golden Calf for Best Production Design award at the 2019 Netherlands Film Festival. ''Summer Heat'' () is a 2008 film directed by Monique van de Ven. Her first feature-length film, it is based on the 2005 book-week giveaway novella by Jan Wolkers. Wolkers, who died while the film was in post-production, also authored the story for van de Ven's first film as an actress, ''Turkish Delight'' (1973). Plot Photographer Bob Griffioen (Waldemar Torenstra) is in Afghanistan with his girlfriend when they witness rebels attacking a car. His girlfriend wants to flee the scene but he wants to photograph it, resulting in his girlfriend being killed. (This part is not in the book.)
