Jeļizaveta Polstjanaja (born 12 March 2003) is a retired Latvian rhythmic gymnast. Career Born in Jūrmala, Latvia, to Russian parents, she began rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 7 in Moscow, Russia. In 2018, Polstjanaja received Latvian citizenship and started competing for Latvia. 2018 Polstjanaja participated in the Junior European Championship 2018 in Guadalajara, Spain. 2019 Polstjanaja competed at the European Championshipss in Baku, Azerbaijan. Polstjanaja competed at the 2019 World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, placing 32nd, and did not advance to the top 24 all-around final. Jūrmala
Jūrmala (; "seaside") is a state city in Latvia, about west of Riga. Jūrmala is a resort town stretching and sandwiched between the Gulf of Riga and the Lielupe River. It has a stretch of white-sand beach, and a population of 49,325 in 2019, making it the fifth-largest city in Latvia. While Latvia was part of the Soviet Union, Jūrmala was a favorite holiday-resort and tourist destination for high-level Communist Party officials, particularly Leonid Brezhnev and Nikita Khrushchev. Bolero
Bolero is a genre of song which originated in eastern Cuba in the late 19th century as part of the trova tradition. Unrelated to the older Spanish dance of the same name, bolero is characterized by sophisticated lyrics dealing with love. It has been called the "quintessential Latin American romantic song of the twentieth century". Unlike the simpler, thematically diverse ''canción'', bolero did not stem directly from the European lyrical tradition, which included Italian opera and canzone, popular in urban centers like Havana at the time. Instead, it was born as a form of romantic folk poetry cultivated by a new breed of troubadour from Santiago de Cuba, the ''trovadores''. Pepe Sánchez is considered the father of this movement and the author of the first bolero, "Tristezas", written in 1883. "Doin' Time" is a song by the American band Sublime for their self-titled third album. The lyrics tell of a cheating girlfriend, whose infidelities and poor treatment of her lover makes him feel like he is in prison. It was released as a single on November 25, 1997; the disc contained alternate versions of the song by Wyclef Jean and the Pharcyde. John De Buck (born 9 May 1992), known professionally as Apashe (pronounced 'A-pa-she'), is a Belgian-born Canadian musician. He was born in Brussels, Belgium and currently lives in Montreal, Canada. Life and career Apashe was born in Brussels. At the age of 19 he moved to Canada. There he began studying electroacoustics at Concordia University and then stayed in Montreal. Pentatonix (abbreviated PTX) is an American a cappella group from Arlington, Texas, currently consisting of vocalists Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee. Tautumeitas is a Latvian folk/ world music band formed in 2015. The band consists of six women vocalists and instrumentalists. Chingon is a band from Austin, Texas. Their sound is heavily influenced by Mexican rock, mariachi, ranchera, and Texan rock 'n roll music. History Chingon was formed by film director Robert Rodriguez to record songs for his 2003 film ''Once Upon a Time in Mexico''. They contributed to ''Mexico and Mariachis'', a compilation album from Rodriguez' '' Mariachi Trilogy'', and released their debut album, '' Mexican Spaghetti Western'', in 2007.
