Jeje Lalpekhlua
Jeje Lalpekhlua Fanai (born 7 January 1991) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a striker, and last appeared with Indian Super League club East Bengal. Between 2011 and 2019, he scored 23 goals in 56 international matches representing India. He is the second-highest Indian goalscorer in Indian Super League history and the record highest scorer for Chennaiyin. Jeje won the 2014–15 I-League with Mohun Bagan and the 2015 Indian Super League with Chennaiyin, subsequently winning the 2015–16 FPAI Indian Player of the Year and the AIFF Men's Player of the Year Award. Hnahthial is the headquarters of Hnahthial district in the Indian state of Mizoram. The term Hnahthial is a Mizo term which means Phrynium capitatum, a plant which grows in plenty in Hnahthial. 2015 Indian Super League Season
The 2015 Hero Indian Super League was the second season of the Indian Super League, a professional football league played in India since 2014. The season features eight teams. The regular season kicked off on 3 October and ended on 6 December, while the finals began on 11 December, which will conclude with the final match on 20 December. The defending champions Atlético de Kolkata were eliminated in the semi-finals by Chennaiyin FC. The final was played between Goa and Chennaiyin on 20 December 2015 at the Fatorda Stadium in Goa. 2009–10 I-League
This season marks the addition of four new teams, with Lajong SSC, Pune FC, Salgaocar Sports Club and Viva Kerala are confirmed to participate in the I-League. With the inception of these four clubs, many club transfers have been undergone within India, and around the world. The length of the regular season will be longer than in previous years, with 26 rounds rather than 22. The season kicked off on 1 October 2009 with Mahindra United hosting defending champions Churchill Brothers in Mumbai. Sporting Clube de Goa, simply known as Sporting Goa (also known by its abbreviation SCG), is an Indian professional football club based in Panaji, in the Indian state of Goa, that competes in Goa Professional League. I-League 2, previously known as I-League 2nd Division and officially known as or Hero I-League 2 (for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp), is an Indian men's professional football league. It is the 3rd tier of Indian football, behind Indian Super League and I-League. It operates as a system of promotion with I-League (final qualifying phase of state leagues teams). In 2020, due to COVID-19 pandemic in India, the league format was changed into I-League Qualifiers. To avoid confusion with I-League being the second tier, the league was renamed to I-League 2 by AIFF in 2022. The Santosh Trophy, officially known as Hero Senior Men's National Football Championship due to sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp, is a state-level football competition contested by the state associations and government institutions under the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the sport's governing body in India. Before the starting of the first national club league, the National Football League in 1996, the Santosh Trophy was considered the top domestic honour in India.
