Jeffrey Sparidaans (born 8 September 1993) is a Dutch professional darts player, currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation events. Career In 2015, Sparidaans won the Czech Open. In 2016, he won the Swiss Open. in 2017, he won the England Classic and Hungarian Classic. He has qualified for the 2018 BDO World Darts Championship as the 25th seed and will play Dennis Nilsson in the preliminary round. Sparidaans qualified for a PDC tour card for the first time at the 2023 Q-School, defeating Ronny Huybrechts on the first day. Ronny Huybrechts
Ronny Huybrechts (born 20 July 1965) is a former Belgian professional darts player. Career Ronny and his brother Kim Huybrechts became the first brothers to play in the World Cup of Darts in February 2013 and advanced from Group H courtesy of a 5–0 win over Hungary. They then pulled off a shock by defeating the Australian pairing of Simon Whitlock and Paul Nicholson, who were the runners up in the event last year, 5–1 with a combined average of 101.08 and then beat Croatia in the quarter-finals, with Ronny defeating Robert Marijanović 4–1 in his singles match. They required a doubles match to see off Finland in the semi-finals which they won 4–0 with a 105.47 average, the highest in the three-year history of the event, to reach the final and a meeting with the English pair of Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis. Finder Darts Masters
The Finder Darts Masters was a darts tournament held in Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands, sanctioned by the British Darts Organisation and the World Darts Federation, running intermittently under several different names from 1995 to 2018. The tournament was previously known as the Zuiderduin Masters from 2007 to 2014, as the Leendesk Masters in 2005, as the Doeland Grand Masters from 2001 to 2004, as the European Grand Masters in 2000, and as the Dutch Grand Masters in 1995 and 1996. It was held in December and was traditionally the last BDO event held before the annual World Championship. The tournament was an unranked event until 2008, when it was installed as a ranking event, along with the World Championships and the World Masters, following the cancellation of the World Darts Trophy and the International Darts League. 2018 World Masters (darts)
The 2018 Winmau World Masters was a major tournament on the BDO/ WDF calendar for 2018. It took place from 3–7 October at the Bridlington Spa Hall, which hosted the stage element of the event for the second time since 2009. The event was the first time a BDO Major tournament had not been broadcast on television in 28 years after Eurosport decided to not renew the rights to the event. The event was streamed live on YouTube through the channel winmau TV Krzysztof Ratajski was the reigning men's champion after defeating Mark McGeeney in last year's final by 6 sets to 1, but switched to the PDC straight after last years event meaning he was excluded from taking part. Winmau World Masters
The World Masters is one of the longest-running and most prestigious of the BDO/WDF tournaments, which began in 1974. The tournament is sponsored by darts board manufacturer, Winmau. The World Masters was unusual in darts in that its sets are the best of 3 legs (first to 2) rather than the standard best of 5 legs (first to 3). It was previously the final leg of the BDO's Grand Slam title of televised majors, along with the BDO World Darts Championship, International Darts League and World Darts Trophy, until the latter two tournaments were axed in 2008. The champion is referred to as the World Master. After the collapse of the British Darts Organisation in September 2020, the World Darts Federation announced plans to launch the WDF World Masters. The BDO World Trophy was a major darts tournament run by the British Darts Organisation, hosted originally in February 2014 at Blackpool Tower, before it was held in May from 2016–18 in various locations. BDO World Darts Championship
The WDF World Darts Championship is a world championship competition in darts, organised by the World Darts Federation. It would previously organised by the British Darts Organisation (BDO), who held it 43 times from 1978 to 2020. The championship was first held at the Heart of the Midlands Nightclub in the English city of Nottingham. The following year it moved to the Jollees Cabaret Club, Stoke, where it stayed until 1985. From 1986 to 2019, it was held at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green, Surrey. In 2020, the tournament was held at Indigo, part of the O2 entertainment district in London. Until the split in darts, it was the only World Darts Championship tournament.
