Jeffrey R. Riemer
Major General Jeffrey R. Riemer is a retired major general in the United States Air Force. He served as the program executive officer for the F-22 Program for the United States Air Force from January 2007 to October 1, 2008. During this time he was responsible for all acquisition activities including the awarding of a $5 billion contract extension for the procurement of an additional 60 aircraft. He previously served as commander of the Air Armament Center from December 2005 to January 2007. General Riemer joined the Air Force in 1974 after graduating from the University of Florida ROTC program. He served as an F-4 pilot in Japan before being transferred to the Air Training Command, where he became a T-37 instructor pilot and was named Instructor Pilot of the Year. South Haven, Michigan
South Haven is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan. Most of the city is in Van Buren County, although a small portion extends into Allegan County. The population was 4,403 at the 2010 census. Because of its position on Lake Michigan, at the mouth of the Black River, South Haven has always been a port city. During settlement, major ship lines stopped there, both passenger and freight. In the early 1900s South Haven became a resort town, sometimes referred to as "The Catskills of the Midwest." Squadron Officer School (SOS), is a 5.5-week-long Professional Military Education (PME) course for U.S. Air Force and Space Force Captains, Department of the Air Force Civilian (DAFC) equivalents and International Officers. It fulfills the U.S. Air Force's requirement for primary developmental education (PDE). SOS is based at Maxwell AFB, Alabama, and the in-residence version of the course is taught there.
