Jefferson Township is one of twelve townships in Huntington County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 757 and it contained 330 housing units. History Jefferson Township was organized in 1843. It was named for President Thomas Jefferson. State Road 218 (SR 218) is an east–west state road, that consists of two discontinuous sections, in the northern part of the US state of Indiana. The western segment of SR 218 is just under long and connects Old State Road 25 with SR 19. The eastern portion runs from SR 15 and the Ohio state line; it is approximately long. Interstate 69 (I-69) currently has two discontinuous segments of freeway in the US state of Indiana.
