Rick Jeffares
Rick Jeffares is an American politician who served in the Georgia State Senate as a member of the Republican Party from 2010-2017. He represented Senate District 17, which encompasses Henry, Newton, and Rockdale Counties. In 2018, Jeffares was running as a candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia. Early life, education and work career Jeffares was born and raised in Henry County, Georgia. His father farmed cotton, soybeans and wheat and raised cattle on tracts of land around the county. When Jeffares was 13, his father died. Jeffares took over the farm while helping his mother raise two younger brothers. Jeffares attended Clayton College and State University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Management. Jeffares began his career at the Henry County Water Authority and led the City of Covington, Georgia Water and Sewer Department. Norman Jeffares
Alexander Norman "Derry" Jeffares AM (/ˈdʒɛfəz/, 11 August 1920 – 1 June 2005) was an Irish literary scholar. Early life and education Jeffares was born in Dublin, educated at Dublin High School, Trinity College Dublin (where he was elected a Scholar in classics in 1941), and Oriel College, Oxford. Academic career Jeffares took up his first academic appointment at the Department of English at the University of Groningen in 1947 and then moved to the University of Edinburgh in 1948. In 1951, at the very early age of 30, he was appointed to the Jury Chair of English at the University of Adelaide where he stayed until taking up the Chair of English at the University of Leeds in 1957. Finally, he moved to the University of Stirling in 1974. While at Leeds, he was a founder of ''The Journal of Commonwealth Literature''. He retired as Emeritus Professor of English in 1985. Brian Jeffares
Brian Robert Jeffares is a New Zealand local-body politician. He is an elected member of Taranaki Regional Council and the Taranaki District Health Board, and was mayor of Stratford from 1998 to 2007. Jeffares has a background in building and real estate, and also some radio work. Jeffares and his wife Diann have three children. Jeffares is chairman of the Taranaki Electricity Trust, the Stratford Health Trust, and a former trustee of the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust. Edward William Derek Jeffares (24 May 1917 in Grahamstown, Cape Province, South Africa – 14 October 1994 in Stratford-on-Slaney, County Wicklow, Ireland) was a South African-born Irish cricketer.
