Jeffrey Lewis (born November 20, 1975) is an American singer-songwriter and comic book artist. Early life Lewis was born in New York City and grew up on the Lower East Side. He attended State University of New York at Purchase, graduating in 1997 with a degree in Literature. His Senior Literary Thesis was on the comic book ''Watchmen''. Lewis also lectured on the topic of ''Watchmen'' at the Institute For Cultural Studies at the University of Leuven, Belgium, in 2000, and the text of his lecture ("The Dual Nature of Apocalypse in Watchmen") was published in the book ''The Graphic Novel'', edited by Jan Baetens, in 2001. Starting in 2000, he spent about two years living in Austin, Texas, playing open mic nights, working odd jobs and distributing his autobiographical comics to local coffee shops. Jeffrey Lewis (born 28 November 1942) is a Welsh composer, who lives in Llanfairfechan. Biography and work Lewis was born in Neath, where he joined the church choir and began learning the organ. He studied at the University of Wales, Cardiff, under Alun Hoddinott; with György Ligeti and Karlheinz Stockhausen at Darmstadt; with Bogusław Schaeffer in Krakow and with Don Banks in London. He taught at Leeds College of Music (1969–72) and the University of Wales, Bangor (1973 - 1992), under William Mathias. Jeffrey Scott Lewis (April 17, 1973 – January 5, 2013) was an American football quarterback in the National Football League for the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers. He played college football at Northern Arizona University. Early years Lewis attended Horizon High School where he was an All-conference and All-city selection in football, baseball and basketball. He gained over 1,000 rushing yards in his last 2 seasons in football. As a senior in baseball, he batted for a .492 average and tallied a 3-1 record as a pitcher. Jeffrey Lewis is an American expert in nuclear nonproliferation and geopolitics, currently a professor at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (otherwise known as the CNS) at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, and director of the CNS East Asia Nonproliferation Program. Jeffrey Norman Lewis is a professor of media and cultural studies at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University), Melbourne, Australia. He is the author of numerous refereed articles and books which focus on cultural interface and conflict. His work on political violence and terrorism has been particularly important for government, community and media debate. Lewis is also a documentary-maker and musician. Lewis's academic work has sought to re-politicise the concept of 'culture', re-building poststructural and psychoanalytic theory into a more distinctive zone of political critique.
