Jeff Jackson (ice Hockey B. 1965)
Jeff Jackson (born April 24, 1965) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey winger and who played 263 games in the National Hockey League. He played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Quebec Nordiques, and Chicago Blackhawks. Early life Jackson was born in Chatham-Kent, Ontario, and raised in Dresden, Ontario. After retirement in 1993, Jackson attended the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law. Career Prior to playing in the NHL, he played for Canada's World Junior Under-20 team which won a gold medal at the 1985 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships in Helsinki, Finland. Upon graduating from law school, he accepted a position at Heenan Blaikie Law firm, where he practised sports and entertainment law. John Ferguson Jr. (born July 7, 1967) is the current assistant general manager for the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). Ferguson previously served as the director of player personnel for the Boston Bruins and the general manager of their American Hockey League affiliate, the Providence Bruins. Ferguson previously was the vice president and general manager for the Toronto Maple Leafs from 2003 to 2008. Playing career Drafted by the Montreal Canadiens, the team with which his father had played every one of his NHL games, in the 12th round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft, Ferguson played four professional seasons at the American Hockey League (AHL) level with the Canadiens and Senators organizations. Ontario Junior Hockey League
The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) is a Junior A ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada. It is under the supervision of the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) and the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). The league was listed as the 7th best developmental league in North America for professional and amateur ice hockey in July 2013 by the website, "TheHockeyWriters.com". The league dates back to 1954 where it began as the "Central Junior B Hockey League". In 1993, the Central Junior B Hockey League was promoted to the Junior A level and renamed the "Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League". In 2009, the league was dissolved by the Ontario Hockey Association and split into two leagues: the "Central Canadian Hockey League" and the "Ontario Junior A Hockey League".
