Jeff Jackson (born March 14, 1974) is a 5X All-American, and 3X Southwest Champion hurdler Hurdling is the act of jumping over an obstacle at a high speed or in a sprint. Jackson's athletic accomplishments started in high school when he won the Texas State Championship (1992) in the 110m hurdles, US Jr. National Title in both 110m and 400m hurdles, and the Jr. Pan Am title in the 110m hurdle. Hurdling is the act of jumping over an obstacle at a high speed or in a sprint. Today, the dominant step patterns are the 3-step for high hurdles, 7-step for low hurdles, and 15-step for intermediate hurdles. The men's 110 metre hurdles at the 2000 Summer Olympics as part of the athletics programme were held at Stadium Australia on Sunday 24 September and Monday 25 September 2000. Forty-four athletes from 31 nations competed. The maximum number of athletes per nation had been set at 3 since the 1930 Olympic Congress. The event was won by Anier García of Cuba, the nation's first championship in the event and first medal in the event since 1980. Anier García accelerated his first few steps better and gained a few centimeter lead over the first barrier, which he rattled.
