Jeff Hoggan
Jeffrey Allan Hoggan (born February 1, 1978) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward who played in the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Although born in Hope, Hoggan spent much of his minor hockey career in the Chilliwack Minor Hockey Association before joining the Powell River Kings of the BCHL. Undrafted, Hoggan attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha and played through three years of eligibility with the Mavericks in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. He signed a contract in 2005 with the St. Louis Blues. In July 2006, he signed with the Boston Bruins as a free agent. On July 29, 2010, Hoggan left North America as a free agent and signed with German team Grizzlys Wolfsburg of the DEL to a one-year contract. Calder Cup
The Calder Cup is the trophy awarded annually to the playoff champions of the American Hockey League. It was first presented in 1937 to the Syracuse Stars. The cup is made of sterling silver mounted on a base of Brazilian mahogany. In its current shape, the trophy has a two-tiered square base with commemorative plaques for each of the AHL's 20 most recent champions: 12 on the bottom tier and 8 on the top tier. Each time a new championship plaque is added, the oldest plaque is retired and joins a display at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. The Hershey Bears have won the Cup more times than any other team, with eleven victories in franchise history. The Cleveland Barons come in second with nine; the Springfield Indians/Kings are third with seven. Central Collegiate Hockey Association
The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) is a college athletic conference that participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. The current CCHA began play in the 2021–22 season; a previous incarnation, which the current CCHA recognizes as part of its history, existed from 1971 to 2013. Half of its members are located in the state of Michigan, with additional members in Minnesota and Ohio. It has also had teams located in Alaska, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Nebraska over the course of its existence. 16-17 is a band from Basel, Switzerland. Their music combines punk rock, hardcore punk, jazz and industrial music. Biography 16-17 was founded in 1983 by Alex Buess, Knut Remond and Markus Kneubühler. When the group played its first concerts in 1983 it was received with controversial reactions: there where hardly any groups that played in an approximately similar style. Only some years later around 1986 groups like Painkiller, Last Exit or The Flying Luttenbachers appeared . The Iowa Wild are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League, that began play for the 2013–14 season. The team plays at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, as the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild. The team was formerly the Houston Aeros, in Houston, Texas, before being relocated to Des Moines, beginning with the 2013–14 AHL season as the Iowa Wild. Travis John Richards (born March 22, 1970) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman. He played briefly in the National Hockey League with the Dallas Stars. Richards played ten seasons for the minor-league Grand Rapids Griffins. Kip Miller
Kip Charles Miller (born June 11, 1969) is an American former ice hockey forward. He last played for the American Hockey League Grand Rapids Griffins in 2006–07. He was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques as their 4th-round pick in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, 72nd overall. Playing career Miller was born in Lansing, Michigan, and played college hockey for the Michigan State University Spartans. During his college career he registered 116 goals, 145 assists and 261 points, leading the CCHA in scoring for two consecutive seasons. Miller was awarded the Hobey Baker Memorial Award in 1990, the first Spartan to receive the honor. Miller's cousin, goaltender Ryan Miller, was the second Spartan to win the Hobey Baker Award in 2001. The 2013 Calder Cup playoffs of the American Hockey League began on April 26, 2013, with the same playoff format that was introduced in 2012.
