Jeff Heotzler
Jeff Heotzler (October 22, 1957) is an American dirt modified racing driver, currently credited with over 150 career wins at 13 tracks from Florida to Quebec. Racing career Jeff Heotzler began his racing career in 1978 in his brother Ralph's backup car at Orange County Fair Speedway. He has since garnered 11 track championships and one Mr. DirtCar 358 series championship, competing successfully at New York's Accord Speedway, Albany-Saratoga Speedway, Lebanon Valley Speedway, Rolling Wheels Raceway and the Syracuse Mile, as well as Florida's Volusia Speedway Park. Wallkill, Orange County, New York
Wallkill is a town in Orange County, New York, United States. The population was 30,486 at the 2020 census. It is centrally located in the county. Interstate 84 crosses New York State Route 17 in the southern part of the town. U.S. Route 6 and New York State routes 17K, 211 and 302 also cross portions of the town. History The original land patent for the town was dated 1724, but little was done for decades to develop and settle the region. The town was established in 1772, but part of the town was lost upon the formation of Ulster County. The Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds is a North American big block modified touring series currently promoted by World Racing Group. The series primarily races on dirt ovals in the Northeastern United States and Canada along with select dates in Florida and North Carolina. The cars feature big block V8 engines (up to 467 c.i.) that develops over 750 hp and a center-steer style chassis that weighs at least 2,500 lb with driver included. History The series was founded in 1972 by Glenn Donnelly as a series of qualifier races for the inaugural Super Dirt Week at the New York State Fairgrounds Racetrack in Syracuse, New York. Orange County Fair Speedway
Orange County Fair Speedway is a dirt oval Oval track racing, speedway in Middletown, Orange County, New York. The facility holds weekly stock car racing, stock car races and demolition derby, demolition derbies during the summer months. The track was built in 1857 for horse racing at the Orange County Fair (New York), Orange County Fair and staged its first automobile race on August 16, 1919. The fair began as an agricultural exhibit in 1843 and was permanently located in the Wallkill–Middletown area in 1857. Albany-Saratoga Speedway
Albany-Saratoga Speedway is a 0.36-mile dirt oval on U.S. Route 9 in Malta, New York. The track features racing on Friday nights, with five different weekly racing divisions, including DIRTcar modifieds, DIRTcar sportsman, limited sportsman, pro stocks and street stocks and also four cylinder racers. Syracuse Mile
The Syracuse Mile was a dirt oval raceway located at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York. Originally built for harness racing in 1826, the first auto race was run in 1903, making it the second oldest auto racing facility in United States history. The track and grandstands were torn down in 2016 by state government officials with the plan to modernize facilities. Harness racing The Syracuse Mile hosted harness racing from its opening until 2005. The Hambletonian Stakes were held from 1926 through 1929. In the early 1970s, a new 16,000-seat grandstand was built as part of an unsuccessful attempt to bring back the Hambletonian Stakes. Volusia Speedway Park
Volusia Speedway Park (formerly known as Volusia County Speedway and Barberville Speedway) is an auto racing facility located near Barberville in Volusia County, Florida. It currently operates as a 1/2-mile dirt oval and a 1/5-mile dirt oval for karts. The track currently hosts races from the World of Outlaws series (both sprints and late models) and the UMP late model series, As well as the UMP Super DIRTcar Series (Both big-block and small block modified racing).
