Jeffrey Bertan Cohen (born Jeffrey Bertan McMahon; June 25, 1974) is an American attorney and former child actor best remembered for appearing as Chunk in the 1985 Steven Spielberg production ''The Goonies''. He is a founding partner of law firm Cohen & Gardner. Early life education Cohen was born Jeffrey Bertan McMahon on June 25, 1974, in Los Angeles, California. He took his stage name from the maiden name of his mother, Elaine Cohen. Cohen attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in business. Cohen asked Goonies director Richard Donner for a recommendation for his college admissions application. Jeff B. Cohen (born November 10, 1951) is an American journalist, media critic, professor, and the founder of Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR), a media watchdog group in the US. He is a retired associate professor of journalism at Ithaca College, where he was an endowed chair and founding Director of the Park Center for Independent Media. He was formerly a lawyer for the ACLU and authored or coauthored five books that criticize media bias, mainly written with 2012 California Congressional District 2 candidate, Norman Solomon, who missed the "top two" runoff by only 174 votes. Between 1997 and 2002, Cohen was a regular commentator for Fox News Channel's ''Fox News Watch'', for MSNBC and CNN. Jeff Cohen is an American theater director, playwright and producer. Cohen grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, partially in Mt. Washington with his step-father Josh Fendell (a painter and art professor) and with his father Stanley in a house across from Druid Hill Park in the Liberty Heights neighborhood of Baltimore, the setting for his plays ''Squeaky''and ''Men of Clay.''. Jeff Cohen (born January 28, 1966) is an American songwriter, record producer, and publisher. He is also known for his role in founding the band Pancho's Lament. Early life and education Jeff Cohen was born in Brooklyn, New York. As a child, Cohen would sing songs into a tape recorder and give the cassettes to his sisters. His musical landscape changed at the age of 13, when his mother bought him Jackson Browne’s ''Hold Out'' to take to summer camp. He graduated from Oceanside High School in Oceanside, New York, in 1984 and then attended Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he majored in government and English. During his college years, Cohen began to take guitar and songwriting more seriously.
