Jef Van Meirhaeghe
Jef Van Meirhaeghe (born 23 January 1992) is a Belgian road cyclist, who most recently rode for Belgian amateur team CT Stroobant–Bataia. Van Meirhaeghe has also competed professionally for in 2015 and 2016. Career Amateur career As a junior, Van Meirhaeghe won the 2010 Junior Tour of Flanders. After a year riding for the Soenens–Construkt Glas team, he rode for the team from 2012 to 2014. In May 2014, he finished in the top ten of the À travers les Hauts-de-France, Paris–Arras Tour, his best stage-race result to that point. In July 2014, he finished on the podium of the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad U23, under-23 edition of Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, having been in a breakaway with the eventual race winner, Dimitri Claeys. During this time he rode principally as a ''domestique'' for other riders, rarely having a chance to race for himself. Nokere Koerse
Nokere Koerse is a European semi classic single day cycle race held in the Belgian region of Flanders. Since 2005, the race has been organized as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. Starting in 2016 it was a 1.HC event. The Nokere Koerse was created in 1944, initially as the ''Grand Prix Jules Lowie'' in honour of 1938 Paris–Nice winner Jules Lowie who was born in Nokere Kruishoutem (, in French and English ''Cruyshautem'') is a village and was a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders.
