Jeet (1972 Film)
''Jeet'' () is a 1972 Indian Hindi-language crime drama film directed and produced by Adurthi Subba Rao. It was a remake of his own 1967 Telugu film '' Poola Rangadu'', which itself was based on the novel '' Beyond This Place'' by A. J. Cronin's novel. Plot Ratan (Randhir Kapoor) is an illiterate horse carriage driver, who has dedicated his life to provide for his sister, Padma's (Hina Kauser) education. He meets with a gypsy girl Koyli (Babita), and falls for her. She eventually also falls in love with him. Her brother, Shankar (Roopesh Kumar) is smitten by Padma, but Ratan will not hear of him marrying his sister. Padma does finish her education with honors, and goes off to the city to attend college, there she meets with rich and wealthy Prasad (Jateen) and both fall in love. ''Poola Rangadu'' is a 1967 Indian Telugu-language crime thriller film, produced by D. Madhusudhana Rao under Annapurna Pictures and directed by Adurthi Subba Rao and produced by D. Madhusudhana Rao. It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Jamuna, Sobhan Babu, Vijaya Nirmala, and music composed by S. Rajeswara Rao. The film, loosely based on A. J. Mohammed Rafi
Mohammed Rafi (24 December 1924 – 31 July 1980) was an Indian playback singer and musician. He is considered to have been one of the greatest and most influential singers of the Indian subcontinent. Rafi was notable for his versatility and range of voice; his songs varied from fast peppy numbers to patriotic songs, sad numbers to highly romantic songs, qawwalis to ghazals and bhajans to classical songs. Hari Shivdasani (1909–1994) was an Indian character actor in Hindi cinema from 1930s-1980s. Personal life Hari Shivdasani was a Sindhi Hindu from Karachi and had moved with his family to Mumbai at the time of the partition of the British Raj in 1947. Nana Palsikar
Nana Palshikar ( mr, नाना पळशीकर) (1907 – 1 June 1984) was an Indian actor who appeared in over 80 Hindi films. He made his film debut in 1935 with ''Dhuwandhar'', and went on to play character roles in both Hindi mainstream and arthouse films. He was also cast in small parts in a few international productions such as ''Maya'' (1966), '' The Guru'' (1969) and ''Gandhi'' (1982). Palshikar was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor twice, in 1962 and 1965. He was recognised with an award in the same category by the Bengal Film Journalists' Association in 1965.
