Jeanne Hulit
Jeanne A. Hulit (born 1958) served as Acting Administrator of the Small Business Administration from September 2013 to February 2014. Hulit is the President and CEO of Maine Community Bancorp, INC. She has served in this role since October 2018. Prior, Hulit served as President of Village Candle, a Wells, Maine-based candle and fragrance company in 2017, after serving as President of the Northeast Community Banking Division at Lewiston, Maine-based Northeast Bancorp since February 2014. Hulit was appointed to serve as SBA's New England Regional Administrator in August 2009. She then was transferred to Washington as Associate Administrator for SBA's Office of Capital Access since February 2012, where she was adviser to Administrator Karen Mills and oversaw the agency's loan programs. The University of Southern Maine (USM) is a public university with campuses in Portland, Gorham and Lewiston in the U.S. state of Maine. It is the southernmost of the University of Maine System. It was founded as two separate state universities, Gorham Normal School and Portland University. The two universities, later known as Gorham State College and the University of Maine at Portland, were combined in 1970 to help streamline the public university system in Maine and eventually expanded by adding the Lewiston campus in 1988.
