Jeanetta Laurence
Jeanetta Christine Laurence OBE (born December 1949) is the former associate director of The Royal Ballet. She was artistic administrator from 1990, assistant director from 2003 and associate director from 2009 to 2014. Jeanetta Laurence was born in Oxford, trained at The Royal Ballet School. She rose to be a soloist with The Royal Ballet and created roles in works by Jack Carter, Ronald Hynd, Joe Layton, Lynn Seymour and others. Laurence was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2015 New Year Honours The New Year Honours 2015 were appointments by some of the 16 Commonwealth realms to various orders and honours to recognise and reward good works by citizens of those countries. The Royal Ballet School
The Royal Ballet School is a British school of classical ballet training founded in 1926 by the Anglo-Irish ballerina and choreographer Ninette de Valois. Ronald Hynd (born 22 April 1931) is an English choreographer, and in his youth was a ballet dancer. In the Royal Ballet in the late 1940s he began to dance with Annette Page, whom he later married. Lynn Seymour
Lynn Seymour CBE (born 8 March 1939) is a Canadian-born retired ballerina, choreographer, and director. Early career She was born in Wainwright, Alberta, as Berta Lynn Springbett in a Canadian family of Scottish descent, and studied ballet in Vancouver, British Columbia. In 1953, she was auditioned by Frederick Ashton and given a scholarship to London's Sadler's Wells Ballet School. There she was in Winifred Edwards's class with Antoinette Sibley and Marcia Haydée.
