Jean Paul Valley
Jean-Paul Valley Jr. is an antihero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by Denny O'Neil, Joe Quesada, and Peter Milligan. He debuted in ''Batman: Sword of Azrael'' #1 (October 1992) as an ally of the superhero Batman, after which he would go on to make appearances in several ''Batman'' titles. He is the first character to assume the identity of Azrael, a member of a group of assassins who were created by the Order of St. Dumas to bring justice in Gotham City. He is also the second character to take the Batman name for a short time during the ''Knightfall'' storyline, known to be a more brutal incarnation. Joe Quesada
Joseph Quesada (; born January 12, 1962'' Comics Buyer's Guide'' #1650; February 2009; page 107) is an American comic book artist, writer, editor, and television producer. He became known in the 1990s for his work on various Valiant Comics books, such as ''Ninjak'' and ''Solar, Man of the Atom''. He later worked on numerous books for DC Comics and Marvel Comics, such as '' Batman: Sword of Azrael'' and ''X-Factor'', before forming his own company, Event Comics, where he published his creator-owned character, Ash. In 1998 he became an editor of Marvel Comics' Marvel Knights line, before becoming editor-in-chief of the company in 2000. He was named Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Entertainment in 2010 and left his editor-in-chief role in January 2011, being replaced by Axel Alonso. Dennis O'Neil
Dennis Joseph O'Neil (May 3, 1939 – June 11, 2020) was an American comic book writer and editor, principally for Marvel Comics and DC Comics from the 1960s through the 1990s, and Group Editor for the Batman family of titles until his retirement. His best-known works include ''Green Lantern/Green Arrow'' and ''Batman'' with Neal Adams. It was during this run that O'Neil co-created the Batman villains Ra's al Ghul and Talia al Ghul. His other notable work includes runs on ''The Shadow'' with Michael Kaluta and ''Question (comics), The Question'' with Denys Cowan.
