Jean Marie Stine (born Henry Eugene Stine, 1945 in Sikeston, Missouri) is an American editor, writer, anthologist, and publisher. Career Stine worked as a book acquisitions and development editor for Newcastle Publishing and Leisure Books. For a number of years, she was a senior editor specializing in self-help titles for publisher Jeremy P. Tarcher. Stine's own non-fiction books include ''Double Your Brain Power'' (Prentice-Hall 1997), a selection of the Quality Paperback Book Club, which was translated into five languages. Stine has served as publisher for O'Hara Publications, The Donning Company, the International Foundation for Gender Education, and Renaissance E Books. Jean Marie Antoine Louis de Lanessan (13 July 1861– 7 November 1935) was a French statesman and naturalist. Biography De Lanessan was born in Saint-André-de-Cubzac in the Gironde department of France and entered the French Navy in 1880, serving on the East African and Cochin-China stations in the medical department until the Franco-Prussian War, when he resigned and volunteered for the army medical service. He then completed his studies, taking his doctorate in 1882. Elected to the Municipal Council of Paris in 1879, de Lanessan declared in favor of communal autonomy and joined with Henri Rochefort in demanding the erection of a monument to the Communards; but after his election to the Chamber of Deputies for the 5th arrondissement of Paris in 1881 he gradually veered from the extreme Radical party to the Republican Union, and identified himself with the cause of colonial expansion. Jean Marie Julien Balland (26 July 1934 in Bué, Cher, France – 1 March 1998 in Lyon) was a Catholic Cardinal and Archbishop of Lyon. Early life He entered the seminary and later attended the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome where he earned a licentiate in philosophy in 1956, and in theology. He later attended the Sorbonne University in Paris where he graduated with doctorates in philosophy and theology. He was ordained on 3 September 1961. After his ordination he was a faculty member of the seminary where he was ordained from 1962 to 1968. He was transferred, teaching at Tours from 1967 to 1973. Jean-Marie Vianney Higiro (born c. 1945) was the Director of the Rwandan Information Office (ORINFOR), a government corporation that run Radio Rwanda, Rwandan Television and state controlled media in the Republic of Rwanda. Early life Higiro was born in Rwanda under Belgian rule in 1945. He matriculated at the National University of Rwanda. Later, he studied abroad in North America, graduating with a Ph.D. in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin. Rwandan Civil War On July 31, 1993, Higiro was appointed director of the Rwandan Information Office by the coalition government led by Prime Minister Agathe Uwilingiyimana. Jean Marie Marcelin Gilibert, also known as Juan Maria Marcelino Gilibert (24 February 1839, in Fustignac, France – 11 September 1923, in Bogotá, Colombia), was a French Commissioner in the French Gendarmerie. He was sent to Colombia as part of an exchange program between the two countries to help found the National Police of Colombia on 5 November 1891 and was its first commissioner. Early life Gilibert was born in Fustignac in the French department of Haute Garonne on 24 February 1839. He joined the French army at the age of 22 and rose to become a Sergeant-Major. Jean Marie Pardessus (August 11, 1772 – May 27, 1853) was a French lawyer. Life He was born at Blois, and educated by the Oratorians, then studied law, at first under his father, a lawyer at the Presidial, who was a pupil of Robert Joseph Pothier. In 1796, after the Reign of Terror, Pardessus married, but his wife died after three years. A widower at the age of twenty-seven, he refused to remarry and give his children a stepmother.
