Jean Lindsay
Jean Olivia Lindsay (née McLachlan) (1910–1996) was a British historian who was a graduate of Girton College, Cambridge University. She was the Headmistress of St George's School, Edinburgh, St George's School. Life Jean Olivia Lindsay was born in India, to James Douglas McLachlan and Gwendolyn Mab White. Girton College
Girton College is one of the Colleges of the University of Cambridge, 31 constituent colleges of the University of Cambridge. The college was established in 1869 by Emily Davies and Barbara Bodichon as the first women's college in Cambridge. In 1948, it was granted full college status by the university, marking the official admittance of women to the university. In 1976, it was the first Cambridge women's college to become mixed-sex education, coeducational.
