Jean Suey Zee Lew (née Lee; July 26, 1924) is a Canadian veteran of World War II who was the only woman of Chinese-Canadian descent to serve in the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). As a member of the RCAF Women's Division, Lee was stationed from 1942 to 1945 at the Royal Canadian Air Force Depot, Eastern Air Command, at Rockcliffe, Ontario. Lee was born on July 26, 1924, in Cranbrook, British Columbia to Lee Look (Chow Man) and Huey Shee Lee. She had two brothers who also served in the military – Wilson John Lee who served with training command at Fort Macleod,Wong, pg. 51 and William, who served in the Korean War. Jean Lee (murderer)
Jean Lee (10 December 1919 – 19 February 1951) was an Australian murderer who, together with her lover Robert Clayton and accomplice Norman Andrews, was convicted for the 1949 killing of William 'Pop' Kent, an SP bookmaker from the Melbourne suburb of Carlton. The victim was bound to a chair, tortured with the aim of finding hidden money, and finally strangled. All three were convicted and sentenced to death in March 1950. They were hanged eleven months later at Pentridge Gaol. Lee was the last woman to be executed in Australia. Jean Lee (also Jean Lee Lombardo) (1925–2010) was a former World Champion archer who represented the United States. Lee took up archery while studying at the University of Massachusetts. She dominated the world of competitive archery in the late 1940s and early 1950s, winning four consecutive national titles between 1948 and 1951, and consecutive world championships in 1950 and 1952. Jeanne Lee Crews (born 1940) was an American aerospace engineer at NASA, and also one of the first female engineers to join the agency. She retired in November 2002 and is now living in Satellite Beach, Florida. In order to protect spacecraft from debris, she designed a "flexible multi-shock shield to protect spacecraft from debris," which is still in use on the International Space Station today. Jeanne Lee Crews is also one of the first women at NASA to participate on a zero-G flight. She has more recently been working on a way to gather and accumulate orbital debris, through a large balloon that will return to Earth once full.
