Jean Devaivre
Jean Devaivre (1912–2004) was a French film director and screenwriter.Rège p.319 Additionally, he worked as a dubbing director, preparing foreign-language films for release in France. The film '' Safe Conduct'' (''Laissez-passer'', 2002) directed by Bertrand Tavernier is based on Devaivre's activities in the French film industry during the wartime Occupation of France. His brother Louis Devaivre was a film editor. Boulogne-Billancourt (; often colloquially called simply Boulogne, until 1924 Boulogne-sur-Seine, ) is a wealthy and prestigious commune in the Parisian area, located from its centre. It is a subprefecture of the Hauts-de-Seine department and thus the seat of the larger arrondissement of Boulogne-Billancourt. Film editing is both a creative and a technical part of the post-production process of filmmaking. The term is derived from the traditional process of working with film which increasingly involves the use of digital technology. The film editor works with raw footage, selecting shots and combining them into sequences which create a finished motion picture.
