Jean-Marc Généreux
Jean-Marc Généreux ( /ʒɑ̃-maʁk ʒeneʁø/; born December 25, 1962) is a French Canadian ballroom dance champion, choreographer and television personality from Longueuil, Quebec, Canada. He is most prominently known for his roles as judge and choreographer on the American and Canadian versions of So You Think You Can Dance, the French version of the hit television series Dancing with the Stars, and TVA’s hit dance competition series Révolution. Biography Généreux met his partner and wife, France Rousseau, when they went to elementary school together. At a young age, he joined the dance school "École de Danse Loisirs Galaxia Inc." in Longueuil, Quebec, and was partnered with Mousseau when they were children. Généreux and Mousseau competed successfully as amateurs starting in 1977, and then professionally in 1986, in the Latin and 10-dance dancesport divisions, and retired in 1998. NRJ Music Award
An NRJ Music Award (commonly abbreviated as an NMA) is an award presented by the French radio station NRJ to honor the best in the French and worldwide music industry. The awards ceremony, created in 2000 by NRJ in partnership with the television network TF1, traditionally took place every year in mid-January at Cannes (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France) as the opening of MIDEM (''Marché international de l'édition musicale''). It is now held in the month of November. They give out awards to popular musicians in different categories. The name " NRJ" means "Nouvelle Radio des Jeunes" (new radio of the young). Boucherville is a city in the Montérégie region in Quebec, Canada. It is a suburb of Montreal on the South shore of the Saint Lawrence River. Boucherville is part of both the urban agglomeration of Longueuil and Montreal Metropolitan Community regional government. History Early history Boucherville was founded as a seigneurial parish in 1667 by Pierre Boucher, for whom the city was later named. Pierre Boucher came from Mortagne-au-Perche, Normandy, France. After having lived in Quebec City and Trois-Rivières, Boucher moved to the Percées Islands by the southern shores of Saint Lawrence River, where he founded Boucherville. Season 2 of ''So You Think You Can Dance Canada'' is a dance reality show and competition that airs on CTV. It is hosted by '' ETalk'' correspondent and former ''MuchMusic'' VJ Leah Miller. The series is based on the original American TV series So You Think You Can Dance. Auditions started April 4, 2009 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and ended in Montreal, Quebec on May 26, 2009. The show premiered on August 11, 2009. With Fox Broadcasting Company announcing the season six premiere of So You Think You Can Dance on September 9, 2009, both shows aired concurrently. In the historically first sense, the name may refer to several versions of the waltz, including the earliest waltzes done in ballroom dancing, danced to the music of Viennese waltz. Rett Syndrome
Rett syndrome (RTT) is a genetic disorder that typically becomes apparent after 6–18 months of age and almost exclusively in females. Symptoms include impairments in language and coordination, and repetitive movements. Those affected often have slower growth, difficulty walking, and a smaller head size. Complications of Rett syndrome can include seizures, scoliosis, and sleeping problems. The severity of the condition is variable. Rett syndrome is due to a genetic mutation in the MECP2 gene, on the X chromosome. It almost always occurs as a new mutation, with less than one percent of cases being inherited from a person's parents. It occurs almost exclusively in girls; boys who have a similar mutation typically die shortly after birth. Diagnosis is based on the symptoms and can be confirmed with genetic testing.
