Jean-Marc Brûlé
Jean-Marc Brûlé (16 June 1965 – 25 November 2023) was a French politician of Europe Écologie–The Greens, Regional Council (France), Regional Councillor of Île-de-France (region), Ile-de-France. Founder of the Asian Committee of The Greens (France), The Greens, he was chairman of L'Atelier, a regional resource center of the social economy and was a national secretary-assistant of Europe Écologie in charge of elections and institutions. Brûlé died on 25 November 2023, at the age of 58. Regional Council Of Île-de-France
The Regional Council of Île-de-France () is the Regional council (France), regional council of Île-de-France, France's most populous Regions of France, administrative region. Made up of 209 regional councillors elected for 6 years, it is headquartered in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, just north of Paris. The council has been presided over since 18 December 2015 by Valérie Pécresse. She succeeded Jean-Paul Huchon, who had presided over the council since 23 March 1998. Regional Council (France)
A regional council (french: conseil régional) is the elected assembly of a region of France. History Regional councils were created by law on 5 July 1972. Originally they were simply consultative bodies consisting of the region's parliamentary representatives plus an equal number of members nominated by the departments and communes. The decentralisation programme of 1982–1983 under President François Mitterrand provided for direct election which began in 1986 and increased the powers of the councils. Operation The assemblies elect their presidents who preside over the meetings and head the regional executive. Europe Ecology (french: Europe Écologie) was a green electoral coalition of political parties in France created for the 2009 European elections composed of The Greens and other ecologists and regionalists. For the European Parliament election in 2014, this electoral alliance was renewed. The coalition was launched on 20 October 2008 with the support of the European Green Party and Daniel Cohn-Bendit, a Franco-German MEP previously representing the Alliance '90/The Greens of Germany, but who ran in France in 2009. Since its creation, the coalition received the support of Cécile Duflot, José Bové and Dominique Voynet amongst others. After winning a record 16.28% of the vote in the 2009 European elections, the coalition maintained itself to participate in the 2010 regional elections. Jean-Paul Huchon (; born 29 July 1946) is a French retired civil servant and politician who served as Mayor of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine from 1994 to 2001 and President of the Regional Council of Île-de-France from 1998 until 2015.
