Jean-Jacques Lafon (born October 5, 1955) is a French singer-songwriter and painter. He remains known for his 1985 one-hit wonder "Le géant de papier", which peaked at No. 6 on the SNEP singles chart and earned a Silver disc. Lafon is also the writer of the 1987 hit "Viens boire un p'tit coup à la maison "Viens boire un p'tit coup à la maison" (approx. ''Come home to have a drink'') is a 1987 song recorded by the French band Licence IV. Occitania Region
Occitania ( ; french: Occitanie ; oc, Occitània ; ca, Occitània ) is the southernmost administrative region of metropolitan France excluding Corsica, created on 1 January 2016 from the former regions of Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées. The Council of State approved Occitania as the new name of the region on 28 September 2016, coming into effect on 30 September 2016. The modern administrative region is named after the larger cultural and historical region of Occitania, which corresponds with the southern third of France. The region of Occitania as it is today covers a territory similar to that ruled by the Counts of Toulouse in the 12th and 13th centuries. The banner of arms of the Counts of Toulouse, known colloquially as the Occitan cross, is used by the modern region and is also a popular cultural symbol. A one-hit wonder or viral hit is any entity that achieves mainstream popularity, often for only one piece of work, and becomes known among the general public solely for that momentary success. The term is most commonly used in regard to music performers with only one hit single that overshadows their other work. Some artists dubbed "one-hit wonders" in a particular country have had great success in other countries. Music artists with subsequent popular albums and hit listings are typically not considered a one-hit wonder. Music and lyrics This drinking song was composed by Jean-Jacques Lafon under the pseudonym of J.Falon. This French singer has had a smash hit in 1986 with "Le Géant de papier". Very popular, the song deals with the tasting of the wine and the sausage, in company with some friends, in a festive atmosphere. Licence IV was a male duet composed of Olivier Guillot and Francis Vacher, who were respectively the secretary and the artistic director of Patrick Sébastien.
