Jean-François Ballester
Jean-François Ballester (1 September 1965 – 2 December 2018) was a French figure skating coach. He is best known for his work with Aliona Savchenko / Bruno Massot, who won gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics, 2018 World Championships and 2017–18 Grand Prix Final. Personal life Jean-François "Jeff" Ballester was born on 1 September 1965, in Rouen, France. He died on 2 December 2018 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, following a heart attack at his home. His mother and sister have also worked as skating coaches. Career Ballester started learning to skate as a five-year-old and was competing in junior pairs when he decided to retire at age 19. He coached at ACSEL Caen (France) from 1994 to 2014. He also worked in Switzerland, at CP La Chaux-de-Fonds and CP Biel/Bienne. 2017 Skate America
The 2017 Skate America was the sixth event of six in the 2017–18 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held in Lake Placid, New York on November 24–26. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Skaters earned points toward qualifying for the 2017–18 Grand Prix Final. Entries The ISU published the preliminary assignments on May 26, 2017. Noah Scherer (born 5 October 1992) is a Swiss pair skater. With Ioulia Chtchetinina, he won three international medals and competed at two World Championships. Deutsche Eislauf-Union
The German Ice Skating Union (german: Deutsche Eislauf-Union, DEU) is the national amateur association for figure skating and ice dancing in Germany. The various German ice sports associations constitute the membership of the DEU; individuals cannot become members. The Deutsche Eislauf-Union was formed in June 1964 in Hamburg to promote professional ice skating in its many forms, to recognize achievements in figure skating and ice dancing, and to provide educational opportunities for ice skating professionals. Laurine Lecavelier
Laurine Lecavelier (; born 26 April 1996) is a French former figure skater. She is a two-time Cup of Tyrol champion (2017, 2019), the 2017 Toruń Cup champion, the 2016 Golden Bear of Zagreb champion, and the 2017 French national champion. Valtter Virtanen
Valtter Virtanen (born 4 June 1987) is a Finnish figure skater. He is a three-time Nordic medalist (gold in 2022, silver in 2016, bronze in 2014) and a six-time Finnish national champion (2013, 2015–2018, 2022). He has qualified for the free skate at three ISU Championships. Personal life Virtanen was born on 4 June 1987 in Kerava, Finland. Nicola Todeschini (born 18 April 1997) is a Swiss figure skater. He is the 2015 Swiss national senior champion and has reached the free skate at two ISU Championships. As of August 2022, he competes for the Netherlands. Personal life Nicola Todeschini was born on 18 April 1997 in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. He lives in Sonvilier, Switzerland and in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Career Todeschini was coached by Myriam Loriol-Oberwiler in Neuchâtel in the 2011–12 season.
