Jean-Charles Thomas (born 16 December 1929 on Saint-Martin-des-Noyers) is a French Catholic Bishop. He was ordained on July 5, 1953 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Diocese of Luçon. On 13 March 1972 he was named by Pope Paul VI, titular bishop of Gemellae in Numidia and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Aire and Dax. The bishop of Luçon, Mgr Charles-Auguste-Marie Paty, gave him on 1 May of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop Marius-Félix-Antoine Maziers, and the Bishop André Pierre Louis Marie Fauchet. On 4 February he was named by Pope Paul VI Bishop of Ajaccio. Roman Catholic Diocese Of Versailles
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Versailles (Latin: ''Dioecesis Versaliensis''; French: ''Diocèse de Versailles'') is a diocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church, in France. The diocese, headed by the Bishop of Versailles, was established in 1801. Until then, its territory had mostly been part of the Archdiocese of Paris and the Diocese of Chartres. It was centred on Versailles. History On its creation, the territory of the diocese of Versailles corresponded to the département of Seine-et-Oise. Following the boundary changes of the départements of Île-de-France, new dioceses were established on 9 October 1966. The diocese of Versailles was therefore modified to correspond to the département of Yvelines, following the creation of the Dioceses of Évry–Corbeil-Essones, Nanterre, Saint-Denis, Créteil, Pontoise. Marius-Félix-Antoine Maziers
Marius-Félix-Antoine Maziers (1 March 1915 – 14 August 2008) was French Bishop of the Catholic Church. Marius Maziers was born in Siran, France, raised in the Roman Catholic faith and was ordained a priest on 9 October 1938. On 17 December 1959, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Augustopolis in Phrygia and auxiliary bishop of Archdiocese of Lyon and was consecrated on 25 February 1960. He was appointed Coadjutor Archbishop of the Bordeaux and Titular Bishop of Zica. He succeeded to the post of Archbishop of Bordeaux with the death of his predecessor on 6 February 1968 and served until his retirement on 31 May 1989. Archbishop Maziers died on 14 August 2008 at the age of 93.
