Jazzy M
Michael Schiniou, known professionally by his stage name Jazzy M, is a British DJ and record producer. He was highly influential role in introducing house music to Britain in the 1980s and has been described as the Godfather of UK House (a nickname given to him by fellow DJ Grooverider). Schiniou has also released music and performed under the pseudonyms Klubzone 1, Sao Paulo, Dub Nation, Zoogie, Erotic World, J+M Connection, RipJazz, Bernard and Phillip, JZJ, and Bushbaby. A disc jockey, more commonly abbreviated as DJ, is a person who plays recorded music for an audience. London Weekend Radio
London Weekend Radio also known as LWR was a pirate radio station active in London in the 1980s. History LWR first broadcast on 1 January 1983, originally playing contemporary pop music during the day, with more specialist music shows in the evening and weekends. With the advent of new broadcasting laws in 1984, the station made the decision to close down on 14 July 1984. This close down would be brief, and with management of the station passing to club promoter Zak Dee, on 15 September 1984, LWR rose again as a dedicated soul, hip hop, jazz-funk, and reggae station. Orbital (band)
Orbital are an English electronic music duo from Otford, Kent, England, consisting of brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll. The band's name is taken from Greater London's orbital motorway, the M25, which was central to the early rave scene during the early days of acid house. Additionally, the cover art on three of their albums showcase stylised atomic orbitals. Orbital have been critically and commercially successful, known particularly for their live improvisation during shows. They were initially influenced by early electro and punk rock.
