Jazzy Danziger
Jazzy Danziger (born 1984) is an American poet and editor. Life and career Danziger was born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in Maitland, Florida. She earned her bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis and her MFA in Poetry from the University of Virginia, where she was Editor in Chief of ''Meridian''. She has served as series editor for the annual Best New Poets anthology since 2011. Jean Valentine
__NOTOC__ Jean Valentine (April 27, 1934December 29, 2020) was an American poet and the New York State Poet Laureate from 2008 to 2010. Her poetry collection, ''Door in the Mountain: New and Collected Poems, 1965–2003'', was awarded the 2004 National Book Award for Poetry. Biography Jean Valentine was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 27, 1934. Her father was a Navy man. She received a bachelor of arts degree and a master of arts degree from Radcliffe College, and lived most of her life in New York City, where she died on December 29, 2020. Thomas Sayers Ellis
Thomas Sayers Ellis (born Washington, D.C.) is an American poet, photographer and band leader. He previously taught as an associate professor at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Bennington College in Vermont, and also at Sarah Lawrence College until 2012. Life He was raised in Washington, D.C. and attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. In 1988 he co-founded the Dark Room Collective in Cambridge, Massachusetts, an organization that celebrated and gave greater visibility to emerging and established writers of color. He is the leader and a founding member of the band Heroes are Gang Leaders. Ellis received his M.F.A. from Brown University in 1995. Lloyd Binford Ramke (born 19 February 1947, in Port Neches, Texas) is an American poet and editor. Life He graduated from Louisiana State University, from University of New Orleans, and from Ohio University with a Ph.D. He taught at Columbus College.
