Jaylon Tate
Jaylon Tate (born January 16, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for the London Lightning of the National Basketball League of Canada (NBLC). Tate played college basketball for the University of Illinois. High school career Tate attended De La Salle Institute for his first two years of high school and later transferred to Simeon Career Academy. Along with teammates Jabari Parker and Kendrick Nunn, Simeon won consecutive Illinois High School Association state championships in 2012 and 2013. After his official visit to Illinois, Tate verbally committed to the program and former head coach John Groce in October 2012. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. The 2015–16 Illinois Fighting Illini men's basketball team represented the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Tai Streets
Tai Lamar Streets (born April 20, 1977) is a former professional American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected with the second pick of the sixth round of the 1999 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He also played for the Detroit Lions in 2004. He was the leading receiver for the national champion 1997 Michigan Wolverines football team. In high school, he was an All-American in football and as a senior led his team to a 9–0 regular season before losing in the playoffs. John Groce
John Gordon Groce (; born September 7, 1971) is an American college basketball coach, currently the head coach for the Akron Zips men's basketball team. Prior to coaching for Akron, he was the head coach at Illinois and Ohio. Coaching career Player and assistant coach Groce graduated from Taylor University, an NAIA Division II school in Upland, Indiana, in 1994 and played basketball for the school while he was there. Groce started his coaching career as an assistant with his alma mater, Taylor University, under Paul Patterson from 1993 to 1996. His next job was an assistant at North Carolina State under Herb Sendek from 1996 to 2000. He then moved on to Butler as an assistant to Thad Matta and was there just one season (2000–01).
