Jayendra Shekhadiwala
Jayendra Manilal Patel ( gu, જયેન્દ્ર મણીલાલ પટેલ), better known by his pen name Jayendra Shekhadiwala (Gujarati: જયેન્દ્ર શેખડીવાળા), is a Gujarati poet, critic and professor from Gujarat, India. He received Kavishwar Dalpatram Award (2017) for his contribution in Gujarati poetry. Life Jayendra Shekhadiwala was born on 23 August 1952 at Shekhadi, a village in Petlad of Anand district. He holds BA, MA, LLB degree. He received Ph.D for his research ''Ravji Patel Ek Adhyayan'' (research work on the life and works of poet Ravji Patel). He served as professor at Sardar Patel University and retired from there. He married Kapila Patel and they have a son. Works ''Kalki'', ''Kivanditi'' and ''Kardampalli'' are his poetry collection. Gujarati Sahitya Parishad
Gujarati Sahitya Parishad () is a literary organisation for the promotion of Gujarati literature located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It was founded by Ranjitram Mehta with the aim of creating literature appealing to all classes of society and cultivating a literary sense among the people. Many prominent people including Mahatma Gandhi and Kanaiyalal Munshi have presided over the organisation. Its headquarters, located on Ashram Road, is known as Govardhan Bhavan. It has a conference hall and library. ''Parab'' is the monthly magazine of the Gujarati Sahitya Parishad and is published on the 10th of every month. Harish Krishnaram Dave (Gujarati: હરીશ કૃષ્ણારામ દવે), better known by his pen name Harish Meenashru (Gujarati: હરીશ મીનાશ્રુ), is a Gujarati language poet and translator from Gujarat, India. He is best known as a postmodern poet in Gujarati literature. Sardar Patel University (SPU) is a public state university in Vallabh Vidyanagar, a town Gujarat, India. Ravji Patel (Gujarati: રાવજી પટેલ; 15 November 1939 – 10 August 1968) was a modernist poet, short story writer and novelist of Gujarati language. Life He was born in Bhatpur village (now in Anand district, Gujarat) on 15 November 1939. His family was a native of Vallavpura village in Kheda district. He completed his primary education from his village, Vallavpura and moved to Ahmedabad for further education. He completed his S.S.C. from Navchetan High School, Ahmedabad. Then he joined City Arts College, but he could only study up to the second year of college and dropped out owing to financial difficulties. He worked briefly at various places like mills, libraries, newspapers and universities.
