AFLX
AFLX is a variation of Australian rules football designed in 2017 to be played on a football pitch (significantly smaller than the Australian rules football playing field), unlike the full 18-a-side game or the established variant for rectangular fields Nine-a-side footy (including the AFL's own variant AFL 9s), AFLX requires just seven (later increased to eight) players and games are shortened. It is most notable for its use in official Australian Football League (AFL) pre-season competitions in 2018 and 2019. It was founded in an attempt to appeal to a wider audience outside of its origin country of Australia. The AFL billed AFLX as its answer to Twenty20 or Rugby Sevens. The format of its events varied – the 2019 tournament consisted of four teams each captained by a high-profile AFL footballer. In August 2019, the AFL confirmed AFLX would not return in 2020. Despite being designed for play on a rectangular field, the AFL used only one dedicated rectangular stadium ... Jayden Short 2017
Jayden, Jadin, Jadyn, Jaiden, Jaden, and (among other variations) are Unisex given names that were rather obscure until the 1990s, when they began to appear on the U.S. Social Security Administration's list of the 1,000 most popular boys' names. A name likely of modern invention, Jayden's rank among boys in the United States was 26 , though it peaked at number 4 in 2011. Etymology The name is probably a modern invention, formed by blending the "Jay" sound from the 1970s-popular name ''Jason'' with the "den" sound from names like '' Braden'', ''Hayden'', ''Jordan'' and ''Zayden''. The biblical name Jadon (or Yadon), Hebrew for "he will judge", appears in the Bible in Nehemiah 3:7, but it is unlikely to be the source of the modern name. Usage and popularity The first ''Jadon'' to appear in the U.S. Census is Jadon Solomon Jones (born 1858) of South Carolina, among a few others of the same name in the 19th century. The first year the SSA listed the name – those names in its ann ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

List Of First Kick/first Goal Kickers In The Australian Football League
In Australian rules football, a player can score a goal by kicking the oval ball between the two central goal posts. 298 players are recognised to have scored a goal with their first kick in the sport's premier competition, the Australian Football League (AFL), known before 1990 as the Victorian Football League (VFL). These players are often said to have joined an "elite" and "exclusive" club. Rarer still are players who have scored goals from their first two kicks – a mere 40 of these players have been recorded. Of these players, just ten have also scored a goal with their third kick. Clen Denning (debuted 1935), Richard Lounder (1989) and Daniel Metropolis (1992) are the only VFL/AFL players documented to have scored four goals from as many kicks. Denning followed up with goals from his fifth and sixth kicks, an effort that remains unmatched. On occasion, players have mistakenly been omitted from – and included in – the AFL's official records of the accomplishment ...
