Jayanthi Rajan
Jayanthi Rajan (born 1973) is an Indian politician from the state of Kerala, allied to the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML). She is widely recognized for her participation in various social and political issues of Dalit community. Jayanthi is the first woman politician from Kerala to hold a position at the national level. She is the first non-Muslim woman to be elected to the National Committee of the Indian Union Muslim League. Sulthan Bathery is a major municipal town in the Wayanad district of Kerala, India. It serves as the administrative headquarters of Sultan Bathery taluk and is the most populous and commercially active urban center in the district. Strategically located near the borders of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, the city plays a key role in regional connectivity and trade. Etymology The modern town was part of Kidanganad village, so-called because of the presence of the Kidangan tribe. Wayanad District
Wayanad () is a district in the north-east of the Indian state of Kerala, with its administrative headquarters at the municipality of Kalpetta. It is the only plateau in Kerala. The Wayanad Plateau forms a continuation of the Mysore Plateau, the southern portion of the Deccan Plateau. It is set high in the Western Ghats with altitudes ranging from 700 to 2,100 meters.
