Jayakrishna Ambati
Jayakrishna was an Indian film producer known for his works in Telugu cinema and few Tamil films. He produced films such as Mana Voori Pandavulu 1978, which won the Filmfare Award for Best Film – Telugu for that year. His other hits include, Manthri Gari Viyyankudu 1983, Vivaha Bhojanambu, Muddula Manavaralu, Seetaramulu, Raagaleela, Neeku Naaku Pellanta, Krishnarjunulu, 420 etc. He produced the Tamil film Aalavandhan. Career He started his career as a makeup man in the film industry. He was a personal makeup man for Telugu actors Krishnam Raju and Vijayashanti. The noted film producer A.M. Rathnam was his student who later on became a makeup man and then a producer. He is the first producer to pay a remuneration to Chiranjeevi (Rs. 1116/-). Filmfare Awards South
Filmfare Awards South is the South Indian segment of the annual Filmfare Awards, presented by the Filmfare magazine of The Times Group to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Indian film industry encompassing four languages, namely, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. They were introduced in 1954, around the films released in 1952-53 and Filmfare Awards initially recognizing the Hindi film industry. In 1964 awards were extended in Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Marathi, around the films released in 1963. The inclusion of the Malayalam cinema in the awards came in 1967 while Kannada cinema was recognized in 1970. Each industry is given its own set of creative awards in annual ceremonies that have predominantly been held in Hyderabad and Chennai. Amara Deepam (1977 Film)
''Amara Deepam'' () is a 1977 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. The film stars Krishnam Raju, Murali Mohan and Jayasudha. It is a remake of the Malayalam film ''Theekkanal'' (1976) which was earlier remade in Tamil as ''Dheepam'' (1977). The film was released on 29 September 1977. Krishnam Raju received the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu and Nandi Award for Best Actor. Plot Hari and Shiva Prasad are siblings. One day Shiva accidentally breaks their family photo.
