Jay Sauter
Jason Garrett Sauter (born June 22, 1962) is an American former professional stock car racing driver. He previously drove the No. 34 Chevrolet Monte Carlo for Frank Cicci Racing in the Busch Series. Sauter is the son of former NASCAR driver Jim Sauter, and the brother of fellow drivers Tim Sauter and Johnny Sauter. He also is an uncle to Travis Sauter (son of Tim). Racing career Sauter, a former American Speed Association driver, made his NASCAR debut in 1996 in the Craftsman Truck Series. Driving the No. 42 Team SABCO Chevrolet Silverado, he qualified 21st and finished eighth at the Miami-Dade Homestead Motorsports Complex. He ran six more races for SABCO that year. His best finish was third at Bristol Motor Speedway, and was offered a ride for one of SABCO's Cup teams, but he chose to decline the offer. Necedah is a town in Juneau County, United States. The population was 2,156 at the 2000 census. The Village of Necedah is located within the town. The Buckle Up South Carolina 200 is a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race held at Darlington Raceway. The distance of the race is approximately , contested over 147 laps. Christian Eckes is the defending winner of this race, having won it in 2023. History First ran in 2001, it was taken off the schedule after the 2004 season. In 2009, they announced after a six-year hiatus, Darlington would return to the Truck Series in August 2010. At the end of the year, they moved the race from August to mid-March for 2011. Johnny Sauter
Jonathan Joseph "Johnny" Sauter (born May 1, 1978) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, driving the No. 47 Toyota Tundra for G2G Racing, the No. 13 Tundra for ThorSport Racing and the No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado for Young's Motorsports. He has also driven in the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series in the past. Tim Sauter (born October 13, 1964) is an American race car driver. He has competed in the American Speed Association, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the Busch Series, and the Winston Cup Series. He is the son of Jim Sauter, and the brother of NASCAR drivers Jay and Johnny Sauter. Racing career Sauter made his NASCAR debut in 2000, at Memphis. Driving the No. 61 Stoops Freightliner car for Xpress Motorsports, he finished 29th. He ran an additional two races that season with a best finish of fifteenth at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He joined the team for a full-time run in 2001, and posted two top-ten finishes before the team suddenly closed up due to a lack of funding. Jim Sauter (NASCAR)
Jim Sauter (June 1, 1943 – October 31, 2014) was an American stock car racing driver from Necedah, Wisconsin. He formerly raced in all three of NASCAR's national series, and is best known for having been a test driver for the International Race of Champions, as well as winning two championships in the Midwest-based ARTGO Challenge Series. Racing career Sauter started racing in 1964 in a modified at Raceway Park in Savage, Minnesota. He moved up to late models the following year. Sauter moved to Wisconsin. He won the first race at the LaCrosse Interstate Fairgrounds (now LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway) on July 14, 1970. Frank Cicci Racing
Cicci Racing was an American professional stock car racing team that competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The team is owned by Frank Cicci of Elmira, New York and was last driven by Jay Sauter. Beginnings FCR first began racing as a short track team in Upstate New York. They won the Late Model division championship in 1985 at Shangri-La Speedway (later Tioga Motorsports Park before closing after 2005) That year, they made their NASCAR Busch Series debut at North Carolina Speedway, as the No. 67. The Vankor 350 was a NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. The 1999 race was 300 kilometers and the 2000 race was 400 kilometers, and became 350 kilometers in 2001.
