Jay Nash
Jay Nash (born 21 December 1985) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club and Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Career Nash began his career in South Australia, where he played for the Central District Football Club. As a young player, he played for the Nuriootpa Rover Football Club, in the Barossa Light & Gawler Football Association. He was drafted by Essendon Football Club in the 2003 AFL Draft at Pick 28. In Essendon's round 16 win against in 2005, defender Andrew Welsh was unable to take his place on the field. Nash was called in to replace him only hours before the match was scheduled to begin and he was lined up against Collingwood's captain Nathan Buckley. Nash played 43 games and kicked ten goals during his career at Essendon. He played a career high 18 games in the 2008 season, but only 2 games in 2009, as he struggled with foot injuries. Andrew Welsh (footballer)
Andrew Welsh (born 11 February 1983) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League. He was selected by with the 47th selection in the 2001 AFL draft. He was a backline player who played halfback or back pocket for much of his career. However, later in his career he developed his game to play as a tagging-defensive midfielder. He was a very quick player and runs off half back very well. A knee injury in 2005 sidetracked his career a little, but made a strong comeback in defence during 2006. In 2007 and 2008 his role changed, and he played primarily as a defensive forward and defensive midfielder respectively. In October 2011, Welsh retired from Essendon Football Club due to several injury setbacks after playing 162 games with the club. He then moved to the United States to attempt to become an actor.
