Jawshan Sagheer
Jawshan Sagheer ( ar, ٱلْجَوْشَن ٱلصَّغِير) is an Islamic supplication which has been quoted in prominent books in a wider description than Dua Jawshan Kabir; and is named as a high dignity Dua which is profitable against the calamity and oppressors. It is also mentioned that reciting this supplication is effective to repel the enemy. Jawshan Sagheer has been mentioned as a high/worthful Dua, and it is reported that: "when Hadi Abbasi intended to kill Musa ibn Jafar, Musa recited it, as a result he dreamed of the Islamic prophet Muhammad that told him: Allah will annihilate your enemy." Jawshan Kabir
Jawshan Kabeer ( ar, جَوْشَن ٱلْكَبِير, "''the Great Cuirass''") is a long Islamic prayer that contains 1001 names and attributes of God, and is widely used in many Sunni Muslim traditions, especially in Turkey. ''Jawshan'' means "steel plate" or "mail" and thus the name of the prayer refers to Muhammad’s heavy armor in battle. According to Muslims, God taught the prayer to him as a protection from injuries in war, instead of hard armor. History The Islamic prophet Mohammed used hard and heavy armor during fighting in the war. Because of the tightness of his armor, his body was injured. Musa Al-Kadhim
Musa ibn Ja'far al-Kazim ( ar, مُوسَىٰ ٱبْن جَعْفَر ٱلْكَاظِم, Mūsā ibn Jaʿfar al-Kāẓim), also known as Abū al-Ḥasan, Abū ʿAbd Allāh or Abū Ibrāhīm, was the seventh Imam in Twelver Shia Islam, after his father Ja'far al-Sadiq. He was born in 745 CE in Medina, and his imamate coincided with the reigns of the Abbasid caliphs al-Mansur, al-Hadi, al-Mahdi and Harun al-Rashid. Musa was a seventh generation descendant of Muhammad through his daughter Fatima. He was repeatedly imprisoned and harassed by the caliphs and finally died in 799 at the al-Sindi ibn Shahiq prison of Baghdad, possibly poisoned at the order of Harun. Ali al-Rida, the eighth Twelver Imam, and Fatemah al-Ma'suma were among his children. Al-Kazim was renowned for his piety and is revered by the Sunni as a traditionist and by the Sufi as an ascetic. The Twelve Imams ( ar, ٱلْأَئِمَّة ٱلْٱثْنَا عَشَر, '; fa, دوازده امام, ') are the spiritual and political successors to the Islamic prophet Muhammad in the Twelver branch of Islam, including that of the Alawite and Alevi. Abbas Qomi
Abbas Qomi ( fa, عباس قمی) also known as ''Mohaddith Qomi'' ( fa, محدث قمی) was a Shia scholar, historian, and hadith narrator. He wrote books, including Mafatih al-Janan. Biography Abbas Qomi was born in 1877 (1294 AH) in Qom, Iran.Qomi, Al-Fawaed al-Razawiah, P. 221 In 1904, according to a request from Abdul-Karim Ha'eri Yazdi, he returned to Qom and began teaching, writing, and preaching. Qomi is a bestselling author in Iran. Teachers Muhammad Kazim Khurasani, Sayyid Muhammad Kadhim Tabatabai, Sheikh Taqi Shirazi, and Mirza Husain Noori Tabarsi were his teachers at the Najaf seminary. Mafatih Al-Janan
''Mafatih al-Jinan'' (''Keys to Heavens'') ''(Arabic :مفاتیح الجنان)'' by Sheikh Abbas Qumi is a Twelver Shi'a compilation of Qur'anic Chapters, Dua's, Taaqeebat&e-Namaz (acts of worship after Namaz), acts during Islamic months and days, supplications narrated from the Ahle bayt and the text of Ziyarats. Dua Ahd
Dua Al-Ahd ( ar, دُعَاء ٱلْعَهْد) is an Arabic language allegiance supplication prayer for Hujjat-Allah al-Mahdi, twelfth Imam of Shia Islam. Ja'far al-Sadiq narrates in a hadith regarding the importance of reciting the supplication every morning. He stated that: “If one person read the supplication for 40 mornings, will be considered and accounted as helpers of Imam Mahdi and if he dies before the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi, Allah will raise him up from the grave.” It is common knowledge that reappearance of al-Mahdi takes place alongside Jesus, in effect, the supplication is to seeking reappearance of al-Mahdi and Jesus. Mujeer Du'a
The Mujeer supplication ( ar, دعاء المجير, Mujeer Du'a) is an Islamic prayer or ''Dua'' said on the 13th, 14th, and 15th days of the month of Ramadan. Jibra'il (Gabriel) is said to have taught the prayer to Muhammad when he was praying at Maqam Ibrahim. The Mujeer supplication text was mentioned in the books ''Balad al-Amin'' and ''Misbuh'' by Ibrahim ibn Ali A’meli Kafa’mi. Content The supplication praises Allah. The sentences are short and after two of them, a sentence meaning “give us refuge from the everlasting fire, O Giver Of Refuge” is repeated. The words "''Subhaanaka''" ("Glory be to You") and "''Ta-aalayta''" ("Exalted be You") are frequently used in the prayer. Du'a Nudba
Du'a Nudba ( ar, دُعَاء ٱلنُّدْبَة) is one of the major Shia supplications about Imam Al-Mahdi and his occultation. Nudba means to cry and Shias read the supplication to ask for help during the occultation. The supplication is recited during Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Eid al-Ghadeer, and every Friday morning. Mazar al-Kabir, Mazar al-Ghadim, and Mesbaho al-Zaer were narrated the supplication. These books were written with authentic narrators such as Sayyed Ibn Tawus. Muhammad Baqir Majlisi wrote this prayer in Zaad-ul-Maad from Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq. Du'a Al-Faraj
Du'a al-Faraj ( ar, دُعَاء ٱلْفَرَج) is a dua which is attributed to Imam Mahdi. It begins with the phrase of "ʾIlāhī ʿaẓuma l-balāʾ", meaning "O God, the calamity has become immense". The initial part of the dua was quoted for the first time in the book of Kunuz al-Nijah by Shaykh Tabarsi. According to Ayatollah Bahjat, the recitation of Dua Al-Faraj is the best act in order not to be destroyed in the end times. Terminology In Islamic terminology, the word du’a or dua (Arabic: دعاء) literally means invocation, which is regarded as the act of supplication, and Muslims consider it as a deep practice of worship.
